Czech Republic is the very heart of Europe. Surrounded by mountains, the country offers not only wonderful views and trips to nature but also rich cultural life and historical heritage. Czech republic is also known for a highest concentration of perfectly preserved castles in Europe. You will enjoy all 4 seasons – colorful autumn, snowy winter, blooming spring and beginning of warm summer. Education system has very good level compared with the most of the world. The Charles University in Prague which was founded in 1348 is the oldest university in Eastern Europe. Czech people are well known as sports lovers. For a tiny country, we have many famous names in tennis, ice hockey, other winter sports, soccer, canoeing or judo.

With your hostfamily you can spend weekends hiking, cycling, and swimming in warm months and skiing, ice-skating or cross-country skiing during the winter. Typical Czech family has 2 children. Dogs or cats are taken as another family member. In case you smoke you will very propably be not allowed smoking at home. Czech people are usually „meat eaters“, but vegetarianism is getting popular among young people in bigger towns. Student will have to follow family rules as Czech young people respect their parents as well as teachers. Every youngster has some after school activity – sport, music or arts. Czech youngsters are active on social media. Trips with local volunteers, school or family to neighboring countries (Austria, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Slovakia) are also a highlight. Public transportation is reliable and widely used.

Accepted for the 2023-24 school year in the Czech Republic are students born from 25 February 2005 to 25 August 2008.
