Denmark, a nation of 406 islands and 5.7 million inhabitants. Denmark consists of the Jylland peninsula, the main islands of Fyn and Sjælland and a large number of small islands in the North and Baltic Seas. The terrain is relatively flat with a number of hills and consists of lakes, fields and woodlands. Denmark’s climate can be unpredictable and skies are often overcast. It is cold in winter and relatively warm in summer. Denmark is a constitutional monarchy.
