Γιατί να γίνεις εθελοντής με την AFS;

Η ιστορία της AFS περνά μέσα από τους εθελοντές της!

Οι εργαζόμενοι στο ασθενοφόρο της πάλαι ποτέ American Field Service (AFS) ήταν εθελοντές που διέσωσαν τραυματίες κάθε εθνικότητας κατά τη διάρκεια του Α’ και Β’ Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου. Μετά τη λήξη του Β’ Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου, το εθελοντικό αυτό σωματείο μετατράπηκε σε πρόγραμμα διεθνών ανταλλαγών για μαθητές, με σκοπό την προώθηση της ειρήνης και της αλληλοκατανόησης μεταξύ των ανθρώπων διαφορετικών εθνικοτήτων και πολιτισμών. Οι σημερινοί εθελοντές της AFS είναι οι συνεχιστές του οράματος των πρωτεργατών της, καθιστώντας εφικτή τη λειτουργία των διαπολιτισμικών προγραμμάτων στο πέρασμα του χρόνου.

Οι Αξίες μας

Η AFS προωθεί το διάλογο μεταξύ των ανθρώπων όλων των πολιτισμών, με την πεποίθηση ότι η κατανόηση της διαφορετικότητας αποτελεί πολύτιμο αντίδοτο στην «σύγκρουση των πολιτισμών» που παρατηρείται στη σύγχρονη κοινωνία. Για να εξασφαλιστεί η ασφάλεια και η αξιόπιστη υποστήριξη των μαθητών της AFS, όλοι οι εθελοντές πρέπει να εγγραφούν. Πραγματοποίησε την εγγραφή σου στο ακόλουθο tab.

Λάβε δωρεάν τη βασική εκπαίδευση για να γίνεις εθελοντής της AFS, συμπεριλαμβανομένου και του πιστοποιημένου σεμιναρίου πάνω στην Διαπολιτισμική Εκπαίδευση «Foundations of Intercultural Learning and Global Competence».

Ετοιμάσου να ζήσεις εκπληκτικές στιγμές ανεξάρτητα από τον ρόλο που θα σου ανατεθεί ως εθελοντής με την AFS. Θα συναντήσεις μαθητές από όλο τον κόσμο, θα συνεργαστείς με ενεργούς εθελοντές, θα κάνεις φίλους που μοιράζονται κοινές αγωνίες και στόχους για τον κόσμο μας και θα αποκτήσεις διαπολιτισμικές και άλλες δεξιότητες που θα σε ακολουθούν για όλη την υπόλοιπη ζωή σου.
